The National Weather Service forecast that pretty altocumulus clouds would dot the skies of Orange County of Wednesday. The forecast was one day off; the clouds arrived today. This image was taken by reader Scott O’Donnell while he was near the 91 Freeway and Imperial Highway in the Anaheim Hills. O’Donnell says he took the shot with his new iPhone 3Gs. Forecaster Stan Wasowski says the clouds were about 16,000 feet high at the time the photo was taken, and that they’d drifted to Orange County from off Baja California.
